I mean, if anything Arte should be making full use of everything she has to further her career. She's already disadvantaged in some ways regarding her birth, she might as well use those same circumstances to the fullest. I guess it comes down to whether she finds it morally acceptable to do...
From chapter 13: "For father (linguists) there is also clack clack Mou."
Seems Mou also has some interest in language and is trying to help our protag learn lamia.
Speaking of Lamia, that language structure for speaking to other races is wild.
The Lamia are translating from their own language...
Still waiting on how this Indian Poker plot is related to the Railgun Indian Poker plot and Kuriba Ryouko, if really at all. Not complaining, fun chapter with ghost-chan and GUTS, just wish the overarching plot wasn't going so slowly.
@ekko
Not really a joke, the sweater is basically just giving reactions.
When the orb shows up it says "What?"
After the message from future Nitta it says "Seriously?"
When talking about doll Nitta it says "It's fine"
and so on
@krudmuphin
Thanks for replying. All this sleuthing was more or less for my own sake, I enjoy knowing the timeframe of events so I can place it with what other characters are doing concurrently. And as for conflicts in the source material, as much as they irk me sometimes it's really hard to...
@Duckiedoggo
We've seen Paris, Marseille, and other big cities in the last few chapters. There's no way that Sedan and Dijon are the only safe places in Gallia. The first chapter even mentions that the 506th was formed after the liberation of Gallia, and whether that means the start of the...
@krudmuphin
Hmm, alright. When they had been mentioning March the past few chapters I just assumed 1945 as that would make the most sense. But something is definitely funky. Either the LN author messed up or something changed.
It's made pretty clear to me that this was meant to take place after...
Thanks for the chapter!
Are you sure the date on page 41 is correct? March 1944 would be before Gallia was liberated which is the entire basis for this spinoff.
@scripted
Gallia was liberated in 1944 and the 501st broke up, they didn't reform until 1945 in Romagna. Considering the manga takes place in 1944 in a liberated Gallia it's safe to say the 501st doesn't currently exist. It's between S1 and S2 right now.
@KZO
Check chapter 5 page 5, Aru runs into a boy while at school.
Chapter 13.5 also shows boys both in the school and in their class.
There haven't been any in recent chapters iirc so the author may have retconned it to be an all girls school, but if that was the case I figured he would have...
@theShear
From a narrative standpoint it makes a lot of sense for things not to end here, but looking from the outside he's putting just as many people in danger now, if not more, as the elves did earlier. The economy of the island is ruined whether the Elves take care of the dungeon or Laius...
@theShear
Do his questions have merit? Certainly. Enough merit to sabotage the best chance yet to kill the sorcerer? Not by a long shot. I seriously doubt there's some elf led conspiracy, it's probably them being secretive to a fault.
Kabru has been acting on not so pure motives too. He...
Kabru is such an infuriating character, letting his pride get in the way when they had already solved everything. I thought he wanted to prevent another tragedy, but I guess human supremacy comes first for him when the chips are down. I kind of want this to lead to a second Utaya to drill home...
Nice. Faputa backstory and some concrete info on what the symbols and haku mean. Now if Tsukushi would explain how and why Prushka whistle got from Faputa to the village without just handwaving it as "necessary for the plot."
@Simshynaru
@Madcat6204
If you want a more specific date it seems to be taking place between October 10th and 19th.
Uiharu has her arm brace so we're post Battle Royale, but as mentioned in this chapter it's pre-WWIII.
Touma's either playing with Acqua or messing with the British right now.
