Somehow this managed to be both an interesting world and filled with cliches at the same time. The ending was underwhelming compared to the beginning, as a lot of the character work was abandoned for PLOT TWISTS. A mixed bag that could've been better, but... My animal brain still loved it all...

This arc really illustrates that neither Il nor his brother was really a good fit to be king, They both had such deep flaws and I LOVE IT because OF COURSE they did, they're human. Just really excellent character writing
