It pretends to be a comedy while actually hiding a serious amount of character depth and background, but the comedy is so good that it circles back around to actually being a comedy.
This manga has an interesting premise because everything plausibly has more to it than first appears. There's always a few extra layers to a situation that the reader won't at first suspect, and the protagonist sees these layers not because of some innate "I'm so incredibly smart" sensibility...
...are we just not noticing the fact that she went out in public wearing a choker with a chain on it? As normal fashion? This girl is terrifying, and is not to be toyed with.
