As far as the Hero not trusting men goes... the only thing I'll say is that there's an in-story reason for it, and I'm pretty sure they're going to explain it here in the manga version. It's not random.

Not gonna lie, I think this is the most bored protagonist I've seen in quite a long time. It's hard to feel any sense of drama when he's too busy not being impressed by or interested in literally anything that happens. XD;
