I really appreciate how the artist can draw super cute female characters without putting them in revealing outfits or giving them ridiculous proportions (omg believable female fantasy designs!). The art in general has this really soft and fluffy feeling to it that is rarely seen these sort of...
@Solaz
are there any isekai with that sort of attention to detail for realistic female armor instead of the overly-revealing-for-the-sake-of-pandering kind? So far the only one I've seen do it right is Ride-On King
@Lynkaster
I guess this author is actually a legit competent writer then. I mean, the most thats shown is the threat of rape, yet they did a better job at establishing a convincingly dark atmosphere than the one who throws a fully visualized and creepily sexualized rape scene in the reader's face
@Gustbk
It sounds like the authors from a certain genre of fiction could really benefit from that piece of advice (cough isekai authors cough)
@primrosea
Its more like the way tropes are lazily used that makes a lot of manga annoying to read, not that the tropes are necessarily bad. Like, its...

Not just 8man, every angsty edgy brooding teen self insert MC aspires to be like Yugami. Hes the final form of the loner character archetype whose unwavering self confidence allows him to overcome the obstacle that is "societal expectations" and be 100% true to himself at all times...
@dotawolfbrother
Yeah, even though this is extremely slow paced and nothing really substantial has happened so far, it feels like the author just wants us to appreciate all the little subtle details that they put into the art and character interactions instead of focusing on the usual sense of...
@Purplelibraryguy Yep I love the reverse too. And you're right. I've noticed that manga where the author writes an MC of the opposite gender tend to be exceptional. As far as shoujo goes, Ohayou Ibarahime is a fantastic example while Act Age is one of the best shounen ones.
This manga is making me wish more shounen and seinen romances had female protagonists. Oogami blows these dense/average/loser self insert MCs out of the water
The fact that the MC actually wants to return home and genuinely cares about his MALE friend makes me hesitate to label this as drop-worthy isekai trash just yet. But if the adorable kitty becomes another shitty waifubait then theres no denying it. PLEASE let the cat stay a cat.
