A dumpster fire indeed but what an entertaining one. The mind games and strategies feel really cheap. No one seems to win through wit except the protagonist ( though that's debatable) but through some special ability.

I usually don't read this sort of thing but I actually played the otome game version of it on the Maybe app so it'd be interesting to see how the story is originally like. It's also nice to know their real names instead of the Western ones given to them in the game.

I actually like Nanami a lot more here than in the anime. That's probably because she has actual personality here and she actually shows more than one expression. Also, I hated her backstory in the anime so it's good to see that it's different here.

I know the posters on the author's walls are just references to past arcs but I think it would be super cool if the works she had travelled to were well-known in this world and she pasted posters of her favourite characters who had the same name as her for inspiration.

I love it when they do the archetypes from different genres meet each other. In this case, it's the " overpowered protagonist that was previously betrayed by his party" and the " villainess who is actually pretty nice".
