Pacing is soooo good and the premise hasn't overstayed its novelty. It isn't overly tropey, and there seems to be clear or at least very intentional direction and intent with everything. I love this manga

no its fine, there were 4 people in the middle of the door, they closed the door and cut up 3/4s of each person, it magically reassembled and shifted the remains into 3 full people way beyond the threshold of the door.
I love this part in the WN.
But the manga release is agonizingly slow and short, the momentum and impact just dies. Obviously differences in production speed and all that. And I'm complaining about reading manga for free. But still, the bite size chapters are a more like nibbles.
Dude! It's the samey rival tropes. But it's written so well!
