This entire situation is thorny as all hell, I'm not even sure which Cultures the Author is borrowing from aside from the hints of Ancient Greek and/or Roman, and even using those to try to figure out the optimal scenario here is iffy to say the least.

It's a little odd, but I prioritise utility when I'm playing DnD, everyone else hems and haws when they have to carry me in battle (I'm an Arcane Trickster anyways, so backstabs for days), but when I basically auto-succeed in cooking rolls or brewing alcohol to pack for our journeys...
