Feels like it's been forever since we last saw these two (excluding the previous chapter).
Interesting that there's an innate hesitation in Hal over the idea of facing Fukurou again. I wonder if that's a sign that this match will lead Hal to remember anything from back when.
So does it mean whatever hand has been play -- cards of said hand get nullified for later hands? (If what I said makes any sense.)
Regardless, I'm still clueless on how poker's played. I'll try to understand as we go. Lol
@shii
But they're both locked to the chair though. And the only way to reach the top is with the key gained by having the other out of their chair for 10 seconds.
Someone made a good point about hording air canisters during the game. I'm assuming there will be a time limit for each play...
@Veshv
I think you're right.
Fittingly, that body burning right now is probably that guy who got his hand cut by the chainsaw last chapter (which, in itself, seemed strangely specific, hence why). That could be even more convincing for Baku to believe it's Yakou.
That was a pretty clever move on Lalo's part.
Though I've gotta ask, was it simply because Lalo was being put on the ship that forced Amen to intervene? Or did the fact that Lalo was about to be killed play a part in it? Like, was there ever a rule about Baku and Lalo being required to stay...
The whole referee thing still confuses me as well.
I mean, I figured Nowa would be Kaji's referee since he came in contact with him first. But if I recall correctly, if a referee is already exclusive to someone else, then they can't be for others (or can only be a back up referee and nothing...
It's kinda weird getting first hand insight on Baku's thoughts and feelings. It's such a rarity. I'm so used to seeing him from a third person perspective.
The last image of this chapter was the very picture that got me to check out this series years ago.
Thank you random Google image searches. Lol
Also, thank you Team Duwang. There was a time were I was convinced we'd never see another translation of Usogui. So I'm very grateful we've come this...
So wait, is Floyd actually under the impression that Kaji gained more than 10000 bios? I couldn't really tell.
If so, he might've just bet more than he needed to. Assuming Kaji didn't bet much this round, he could have a chance to out bet Floyd next round.
