The message on the manga-ka’s site has changed from
to
If I’m reading that right, before it said they were on hiatus, now it says they’ve stopped working on it entirely.
It was listed as “suspended” on the Dengeki Maoh site as of the 24th Jan, but has since been removed from the site altogether.
@lemmington you’re never put off by unfamiliar meats? Call me a snowflake all you like but I’m not sure I could eat guinea pig, kangaroo or crocodile and certainly not dog or dolphin. What if someone presented you with grilled gorilla? What if pigs were intelligent enough to wear clothing and...
@eng1
> Leviathan was always a sea sepant, the only mention of it being a whale is the kings james bible and a real prehistoric whale named after it called livyatan.
That’s King James singular and.. no? There are 4 mentions:
(There’s also one further mention of לִוְיָתָן in the Hebrew...
@troygarcia28 it honestly feels like an Atelier game fan read OSO and thought to himself “this would be better if the main character *actually* became a girl rather than just playing as one” then went ahead and wrote it.
@Goldenzeal
> Mulus is referred to as male in the novel when the villagers meet them for the first time.
The fan translation of the WN in fact says
The LN is.. word for word identical.
@cullinaire
No, I’d say they’re talking to people reading free on CyComi (i.e. where the message was posted)
@tsuyukihime
I’ve read every chapter on CyComi before here (often buying points because I tend to catch up in a batch rather than reading weekly) and have bought the ebooks as they came...
How does one manage to introduce colour moire artefacts into a greyscale manga?
> Now he beat the dragon already? The ultimate goal for the entire story, over by chapter 3?
Did you not read the title?
Chapter 5 was published in August (October issue of Dengeki Maoh) and chapter 6 was due in October but never materialised. Next issue is due out on the 26th. I’m not sure of the exact schedule for ComicWalker, but the parts look to go up on a roughly fortnightly basis. It’s possible (assuming...
@mukiex first volume in Japan is 4 chapters (plus a short story) and 160 pages (according to Amazon; BookWalker list it at 170 but that includes the dust jacket, covers, and colophon etc). First chapter was just under 55 pages (https://bookwalker.jp/de5c565d10-1391-44da-9843-0992588ba8bb/).
@Necroix @Necroix
> In the novel it was mithril. Is it maybe mistranslated?
Definitely Orichalcum (オリハルコン) in the manga. And in the LN.
However, it was Mithril (ミスリル) in the WN.
@KiTA
> Also, holy crap, there's a lot of translated WN chapters.
Not as many as in appears, since the current translator has an annoying habit of splitting chapters (at nonsensical junctures) into two or even three parts and re-numbering them so “c234” is actually the second half of ch 117
In case anyone is curious about how there’s been only 7 chapters in two years, I’ve plotted the serialisation dates: https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/manga.php?id=23039&page=34
@Mathiason no, it’s definitely a brand in both the WN and the LN (see below). And it is Earth arms holding her down in the manga (as in the LN and WN)? As for the quest, Dein had doctored it as a “prank” just for an occasion like this.
