This is from volume 2 (hence the colour pages); volume 1 ended with chapter 5.

@zerosama101 it’s ongoing. Chapter 39 was published in October’s Comic Alive.

I can only assume the mangaka simplified the mask design because they knew they’d be drawing it a lot. It isn’t described in detail in the WN as far as I can remember and the manga version, while plainer, is actually more like your average shaman mask.

@Antonius it’s a web comic. Only the first 5 chapters are out in print so far and volume 2 comes out a week from now.
