    The Planet Garaga - Vol. 1 Ch. 11 - Kurou's Burning

@1234muse: Hmm... not sure where you read that. Everything I've seen says he's currently a university professor. Also, he had worked on those two series in 1996 and 1999, so even if he had passed away it would've been much later, at least 15 years after Garaga ceased serialization (sometime in...

    The Planet Garaga - Vol. 1 Ch. 11 - Kurou's Burning

@1234muse: Uhhh... pretty sure the author isn't dead, he just quit the manga business. From what I understand, he suffered some severe hand cramps in the late-80s which caused him to take a break from manga. However, he did return in 1996 and drew a 5-volume series, "Rusalka Will Not Return"...

Blue Giant - Vol. 3 Ch. 18 - Are You Ready?

@guildwriter: the haircut isn't the only reference to Sonny Rollins. As usual, the chapter title is a reference to a jazz song, and this time it's named after Sonny Rollins' 1975 song "Are you Ready?" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYWWKvVHsrM

    Twinkle Nora

Wowwww, this is MUCH different than the first Nora manga. Not surprising, considering the poor quality of the Twinkle Nora Rock Me ova... I guess they were trying to make this manga a parody of the first Nora series? Not sure I'm really sold on it yet, but I'm curious to see more.

RED: Living On the Edge - Vol. 4 Ch. 26 - Catch Me, Please Mr. Fallen Angel 1

Oh my god, she slaughtered all of those kids in cold blood... 😨 She didn't even pause to think about it... I feel like she's worthy of being called a villain.

RED: Living On the Edge - Vol. 4 Ch. 30 - The Man Who Shot Fallen Angel

Oh fuck yeah! 😲 Gray is so goddamn cool!😖 That moment at the end where he turns around and shoots back was epic. One of my favorite panels from the series thus far.

The Blue Hole - Vol. 1 Ch. 1 - Gateway to Another World

This is reminding me a bit of Michael Crichton's novel, Sphere.

Prototyping subtitled Drama CD support - feedback wanted!

Interested in this! I've always been mildly curious about these audio dramas included on anime soundtracks (mostly just the ones I heard on the FLCL and Panty & Stocking soundtracks). However, I never had any desire to actually look up a translation and read along... That being said, with the...

RED: Living On the Edge - Vol. 3 Ch. 23 - The Moon is Blue 2

Ah, so the colonel actually didn't assist in the slaughter of Red's tribe, huh? I guess he's actually a decent human being. I'm sure Red and him will eventually team up. Here's hoping Blue gets what he has coming to him, though.

RED: Living On the Edge - Vol. 3 Ch. 21 - Yesterday's Enemy

And just when I thought Red was prepared to forgive Goldsmith for his past transgressions, it seems like he's still primed and ready to kill. Well, I suppose the old man still deserves it, even though it seems like he's trying to turn over a new leaf. Let's see where this goes...

RED: Living On the Edge - Vol. 3 Ch. 18 - Slow Mellow Yellow

Honestly, the name "Terence" makes more sense, since it's actually a commonly used name in English, but I guess we can't ignore what the author thinks his name really should be, even though it's probably just "Telence" due to a spelling error from the author.

RED: Living On the Edge - Vol. 2 Ch. 15 - Sing a Hate Song 2

I love how weighty the sound effects are when he's firing that gun. Like on pg 8 of the chapter, it almost seemed as though he was firing in slow-motion with the way the sound effects were crafted. It was a really cool and intense scene.

@es_kan: What color would Angie be?

RED: Living On the Edge - Vol. 2 Ch. 10 - The Drifters

This was a nice little in-between chapter. Nice to see some humorous interactions between the three main characters. Honestly, between the moments with the food and the hunting in this series, I'm getting reminded more and more of Golden Kamuy. I wonder if the author of that series was partially...

RED: Living On the Edge - Vol. 1 Ch. 6 - A Savage Place 3

Red as a character is steadily growing on me, seeing him in these more serious, reflective moments. I still think Angie is cooler overall, though. The series is really giving me a bit of a Trigun vibe thus far, which is nice. It's a very good example of a 90s shonen action series, and I'm kind...

RED: Living On the Edge - Vol. 1 Ch. 5 - A Savage Place 2

Damn, dude, that Angie is good with a gun! She's still my favorite character.

RED: Living On the Edge - Vol. 1 Ch. 3 - Let the killing begin

There's been some really cool action scenes so far. I especially like Angie as a character. She spends most of the chapter fully nude, but is completely unphased by it. The panel where she's dodging in mid-air aiming her revolver while completely naked is really badass.

    Wild West Scans

Wild West Scans, huh? Really glad to see RED getting translated, especially so quickly. If you're looking for any other Wild West themed manga to work on once you're finished with that, might I recommend Akimoto Osamu's Black Tiger?
