I like this much better than the first incarnation. I hope it doesn't become as cluttered and chaotic as the first one did. The mangaka has a bad habit of stuffing way to much into each page, and it makes it hard for me to read it.

Oh man I am loving the parallels her story has to the Bolsheviks taking over Russia. The little hints of communism are a nice touch, and add a lot of nuance to the story. The author knows how to weave history into the narrative.

Not as gory as I'm used to seeing from this series. It was quite wholesome too, not that Fraken Fran doesn't have it's fair share of wholesome stories, but it always surprises me when it does.

I will never understand why some translators choose to use romanized Japanese words when the english word works just as well. It's confusing to people who aren't as familiar with the language. The only reason I can think of is that the translators think it's "cute", and I suppose it would be if...

This is why I like this series. One minute it's a violent crime-action series, and the next, a unassuming slice-of-life. It never quite loses the criminal undertones though, which I like.

Seeing more of Katyusha has me giddy. The way she deftly manipulates both her subordinates and superiors, while bumbling her way through the most basic of social practices, is just fantastic.

I love this payoff so much. Knowing what we know about Miho, there was always something off about how much Shizuka idolized her. It's nice to see her find out that she's just a charming little goober.
