That's a cool analogy between The Grim Reaper and The Plague(The Black Death). To be honest at first I thought the kid was already dead and just stayed alive as a zombie or some undead creature because of the wounds on his leg(Page 7). This was a good oneshot.

It's cool that the author took an old children's story and meshed it with the plot.

I googled some stuff, it seems like red deer most of the time feed on vegetation mushrooms plants etc. but if they are missing vitamins or minerals from their diet they will consume small birds for their bones or eat the bones and skin of other deer. Wow.

They better not f this scene up in the anime, my god.

@Paru yep just realized that as well, I wonder if the author planned this in advance. Or if they just added a small detail and then though hey let's use this in the current arc because it would be cool.
