@Mivas @jestervae If you read the WN, all the more you realize that Mad Snail has a few glaring weaknesses as a writer. I'm sure you've noticed the over-reliance on previous life ass-pulls, except when he needs to stump Nie Li. There's even more of that in WN so no, it's not just coincidence...

@Doomer I understand your point. It makes perfect in-universe sense. But it's bad writing to not build that up with the readers. It's one of Mad Snail's weaknesses, to tell rather than show.

@Akule Probably the former. Even if the latter was true, it was still terribly handled. Plus, 2 whole plot points being built up to, thrown away just like that! In one chapter! I think the author probably wanted a break to a new direction.

@greatninja3 I'm not sure it's 100% all review bombing. I read both, but. objectively, Silver Plan is drawn and written better than The President is My Neighbor Cousin.

@greatninja3 Oh we all raised a stink about Im Dal-Young in Silver Plan. Maybe it so happens that Silver Plan seems to have a nice wholesome redemption story. Or maybe others haven't figured out that Artlim Media *IS* Im Dal-Young 🤣

I'm still holding out for a Kazuya redemption arc here. Work ethic wise, he's shown to be pretty damn good. I really hope all this terribleness is just the setup for a reversal in the next few chapters. Hell, AKB49 was much better than this at this rate.
