Its been years since I first read or seen this part in the anime, but every time I think of Hajime no Ippo, the scene of Kamogawa punching the log into the hill is the first to come to my mind. I dont know why it stuck out to me so much, but I think about it randomly every once in a while.
The moments of just pure boxing exchanges, with no comments, no cheering, just raw fights are the best part of this series. It's like you can feel all the emotions through each picture. When Hawks eyes turned white with fear after turning black, that was the most satisfying thing to see.
Oooohhh, this is gonna be an easy call. I can tell just from the one line where it says "Sanada can tell the damage to the opponent through the response in his fist" that he's gonna be caught off guard by the fact that Ippo will be fighting far past where he thinks the damage should line up
