@Wind_Blade Wasn't aware that Opera embraced Chomium too. That's unfortunate. We almost have another monoculture at this point, made worse by all the apps that use Electron and thus effectively multiply Chrome/Chromium's bloat.

Eh, you guys are way too harsh. This series is still really enjoyable and vastly superior to other some others that recently jumped the shark like Skeleton Soldier.

@Boronore Nobody takes issue with the setting (spoilers, btw) but rather the way that pretty much everything for the last arc of the story has been handled. The whole thing has been falling apart for a while now. If you can still enjoy it, more power to you. Unfortunately, I can't maintain...

@Urmumske That's a bit of an understatement. The plot, quality of the writing, characterization, and damn well near every aspect of it has fallen off a cliff. Such a shame, because the initial setup and premise was interesting and well done for quite a while.

@Warhawk Isekai is fundamentally a form of escapism and wish-fulfillment. In a time where many people feel trapped in their modern lives and the youth in many countries (not just Japan) feels that there's little hope for the future, this kind of escapist fantasy is extremely attractive...

This series jumped the shark so incredibly that I should hate it, but instead I find myself unable to look away.

This is significantly better than the current rating would suggest, mainly because the writing is quite decent and the jokes have excellent delivery.

The pacing seems fine to me. It's a little on the slow side, but not enough that I find it distracting. The plot is advancing at a fair clip, and if it keeps moving like this I can't imagine this arc dragging on excessively.
