@Maestria13
It's actually interesting to wonder about that. Whether candy and snacks you enjoyed as a kid don't have the intense taste you remember because you don't have a child's sensitive palate anymore or the overall decrease of refined sugar content due to new regulations. It could well be a...
@ditshick Actually, "CHESUTO!" is a cheer/cry typical of the Kyushu area that was popularised by shows like Inazuman.
Also, I believe I spotted another pun, judging from the wording.
誉めても何も出ませんよ!
"Flattery won't get you anything!"

"Even if you praise me, no potatoes will come...
For the record, we'll start working on the final chapter after the 19th, as both the translator (me) and the TSer are busy with finals. Please have patience until then!
@Jacough I'm pretty sure I'm right to complain when the end result is a drop in translation quality. That's the point everybody is missing: we're not discussing whether sniping is good or not, we're annoyed because the series gets spammed with shitty speedscans and now we don't have an...
@MCRicky361 Stop sniping other groups. If you want to practice translating, do it without abusing MD's system.
EDIT: And Kurisu officially dropped the series. I hope you're proud of yourself.
@Daviot I'll level with you, I definitely was busy with Japanese studies and other things, but part of me was also stalling the inevitable. Sorry, everyone : x
I have already finished this series in my country, but it's still fun to read the comments and watch people who scream about their ships and mentally yeet literally everything else about the story.
@VawX They're not quite the same because chalk is sedimentary rock and pagodite is metamorphic. The only thing they have in common is being soft rocks that can be used for writing. Suffice to say, there's various rocks with that quality and chalk is the name for just one of them.
@VawX It's basically what Dark Souls games call "soapstone". The word used in Japanese ("rouseki") is the same used here. It's called "pagodite" in English because Chinese artisans would sculpt objects like pagodas out of it.
(Incidentally, it's not hopscotch, but rather a similar game called...
