@Mihori
We're already seeing signs of small bits of sympathy. Even though her hatred still outweighs it, she is starting to realize that the prince has got his own issues with trust and she's starting to see how abused he is. Frankly, knowing that the prince has to hide his own gender already...
Holy crap! She basically described how FLs in abusive/neglectful households react at the end when they get isekai'd or time travel back to the past. They either act so different that things change, or they just leave, which also causes a change. It's generally the former, but the latter happens...
Wistash managed to prove that he isn't complete scum. If he had declared what the b*tch wanted, Neveah's engagement could have been ruined and she would have been utterly destroyed socially.
But he's got a LONG way to go before he really redeems himself. I might be a sucker for redemption...
I wouldn't mind the little Duke's brat coming back in the future. I'll even accept him as the princess's love interest if he really does reform. It seemed that the princess's words actually did reach him.
I can accept a man that admits his own faults and how he was just too scared to see his own children die like he did his wife. He accepts his own weaknesses and that made him able to finally connect with his kids.
I do think that she will fall in love, but I am thankful that she isn't just letting go of the hatred that she held for him. I think for her to finally let go of her traumatic future past, she will need to understand the larger story that she didn't realize she got caught up in.
I like how the FL is constantly insisting that the ML should just be a horrible monster and not show any signs of humanity. Because it's easier to hate a monster because you can dehumanize them and thus feel nothing but satisfaction.
Okay, okay Wistash. I'll praise you for not going over to be a complete shit man. Wishing her to not suffer? That's praiseworthy. Even despite the numerous shit you've given her, I won't overlook that there's a scrap of decency in you. Perhaps there is hope for you to become better.
And... I...
YES! That's right! Eve, you can't just be sympathetic to those that are suffering. You can't just express that you care. If you REALLY cared, you would STEP UP! Take your throne and make the changes yourself. Do SOMETHING! Don't just stand by and be this pathetic girl that only shows that she...
I KNEW IT! He was in love with her. He loved her because she saw homunculi as people, not slaves. So he rebelled not because he opposed the system, but just because he didn't want her to be sold off in marriage to another.
Though that is incredibly selfish that he rebelled for incredibly...
So I was correct on some level. He cared about her because she was the only princess that refused a personal knight. Because she had enough humanity in her to actually care about the homunculi.
Makes sense. The 7th princess cannot be allowed to survive in these sorts of rebellions. But the ML clearly isn't choosing to kill her because he hates her. Rather he will at least give her a quick and painless death. He said that she should have chosen him, possibly indicating that he wanted to...
@tetryx
Yeah. It's even more messed up that the mother thinks that she was doing the RIGHT thing. That everything they did was for her sake, and they felt that the abuse was actually education. While the imperial family saw it as horribly disgusting.
@lyndine2009
Yup. Her dad lacked any sort of ambition and lacked a strong will, which is critical to be a part of the family, especially when trying to run businesses and the like. Hence why he was not seen worthy to be the heir in the last life.
@TheGodEmperor
I'm totally in the same boat. I couldn't help but smile at seeing how the Crown Princess was all bored, but then got all worked up and excited when talking about how bad the fake prince book was. I prefer things like this where they find a common interest that makes them start to...
@Chet31
Yeah. The second older brother is suddenly kind to her when he himself is the one that actually disposed of an item. It's the most hypocritical and disgusting thing, making someone's life miserable and then pretending to be kind to them.
