I'm not gonna call anyone here an incel for not liking the decision the author made, for i find myself in the same situation. That said, i believe it to be the right descision given the historical context in which the manga takes place. And while it may not fit my taste, i can still respect it...

That didn't seem like a good hand at all at the beggining. Also, making that guy get a royal straight flush doesn't make him seem smart nor capable. In fact, it doesn't tell me anything about him at all. He might be as dumb as a brick and that won't make his chances of getting a good hand any...

The reason is called lazy writting. Suuure you could be original, but what is that? And easy and effortless way of stablishing the world and characters withouth all that boring character development and world building? I mean, everyone else is doing it, and it goes well for them! Why not...
