This was an unfortunately clumsily handled confrontation. What's odd is...until the point with those AWFUL heroes, this series excelled at pacing and characterization. But then half a damn year is devoted to characters no one cares about and our MC forgets how to use his words. Deeply unfortunate.

See...introducing a new character half way through a series...difficult to do. Doing so in a flashback...even harder. having that character be THIS bland? Should have left that one on the drawing board. PLEASE keep her in the flashback. She's boring and doesn't need to be added to the series.

The ONLY problem with this series...these chapters are AGGRESSIVELY short.

I love this series but I may have to come back to it in 2 years. The long downtime coupled with the painfully short chapters just ain't worth it right now.

I'm definitely ready for this arc to be over. The training in preparation for it was more interesting.

All these isekai bending over backwards to justify slavery is...endlessly irritating. Slavery almost NEVER plays a big part in any of the stories. They just REALLY insist on having it in there and I still don't understand why. That aside, thank you so much for translating this!

The thing that kicked this off was such a maddeningly stupid decision, nothing that follows will feel fun. Forward momentum in the plot driven by stupidity is almost never satisfying and that is very much the case now. My interest in this series is withering on the vine.

This is past lunacy. What is the point of "winning" if the entire desert falls? That long, boring ass siege and now this nonsensical war? My love for this series is fading fast.

I was excited cause I thought we'd FINALLY get an MC-centric chapter. Nope. The SECOND the perspective shifted, the pacing crashed. I don't CARE about these characters. 1. We haven't seen enough of them TO care. 2. What we have seen shows they're not interesting enough to merit more time. 3...
