one of the best series of its kind, that I've read. Unlike SO MANY other series of its ilk, you get to see the all the major strides the MC makes. What few time skips occur are handled well and never cut out content you want to see. Great series.
Darling's Defense and Evasion stats are as high as they go from his home environment. It'll take more than that to get him. Can't wait to see what "more" looks like. Hee hee hee!
I want to like this but the constant stream of contrived cliches, for no real reason, destroy any enjoyment I could get from it. We get that not having magic is "bad" but does there NEED to be a situation every chapter that opens the door for some random person to crap all over the MC? Its not...
HARD pass. That last scene was just gratuitous. Shield Hero and Dungeon Seeker are some of my least favorites and this looks even further away from my wheel house. I like my vengeance slow, methodical, and most importantly, not edgelord childish.
This is such a terrific series. The art isn't the most elegant but the story and characters are so endearing, that doesn't matter. Still an incredibly satisfying read.
