The story flow is otherwise fine. Hoping for improvements. I'd like to see more.
That fight scene was terrible! Overall, the plot has promise, but this artist seems better suited for rom-coms and slice of life than a fantasy-action genre. Really hope he gets better as we go.
Issues with Aria's title/rank? Maybe the author wasn't very familiar of the role of a Viceroy. But if we're going with a ruler who is also a protector, perhaps...Margrave? Though she's awfully scrawny to have earned that kind of rank.
So basically. The Consuming (or The Devouring in the anime) is a result of mana overload in an afflicted person. If a person has too much, it will eat away at the body until the body fails, and they die.
