    Tokedase! Mizore-chan

18 was such a perfect set-up for a Rin chapter. I'd never thought of the idea of a vampire being tormented by mosquitoes, and it's really sort of funny all by itself. But make it a vampire as angry, clumsy, dumb and adorably helpless as Rin and it's comedy gold.

    Super Cub

Ah... so it must not be a coincidence that the manga art reminded me of HIRO. That was undoubtedly the style they were trying for. I really like this. It's just so... pleasant.

    Sukumi's!

I've been waiting years for this one to be finished. I had some vague hope that with the Ueno-san anime, it might actually happen, but I don't think I actually believed it would. And yet... here we are. Thanks to Oil Scans.

    Super Cub

The art reminds me of HIRO (Yumekuri and Akebi-chan no Sailor Fuku), which is always a good thing. I'm curious to see how the story goes - it seems to be fluffy slice of life, but that whole deal with the history of the Super Cub is shades of Wangan Midnight. Definitely interesting...

Oda Nobuna no Yabou - Vol. 4 Ch. 16 - Never Surrender!

Well, it's great to see a new chapter. I just wish I knew what happened in all the missing ones... Still though - thanks.

    Tokedase! Mizore-chan

This is good stuff. The whole sequence from the moment her foot hit the sidewalk to the look on the little girl's face to the "Did she die?" made me laugh out loud. It's not just a funny scene - it's great comic timing, which is a tough thing to do well with a static medium like manga...

    She Gets Girls Every Day.

Ah... so nice to see more of this. It's definitely some of my favorite fluff.

    For Imperfect People

It's truly amazing to me how many times I'll be reading through a comment thread, read one of the comments, think, "Wow - what an asshole," then look over and see mikegnesium's name on it. That out of the way - thanks for sharing this with us _anq. The ending was a bit less satisfying than I...

    Ashita no Kyouko-san

Oink!!? ? I'm not sure what it is about this manga that I like so much. I guess part of it is that it's just barrage of gags. A lot of them are only sort of amusing, but there's generally at least one in every chapter that makes me laugh out loud. And I love the characters and the ways they...

    Ueno-san wa Bukiyou

I think chapter 12 actually qualifies as character development for Tanaka - he was proactive, not just resisting Ueno, but working around her demands. Of course, Ueno and Yamashita weren't as pleased to see that development as I was... On another note, I just want to explicitly thank Bainhardt...

    Kyougaku Koukou no Genjitsu

Midway through 53, I really wasn't expecting to end up laughing out loud. This manga just keeps getting better.

    Ueno-san wa Bukiyou

Another funny chapter, and another really impressive bit of scanlation. Thanks. For some reason, the panel with Yamashita just sitting in the background watching and blowing a bubble struck me as the funniest part of the whole thing.

    Kyougaku Koukou no Genjitsu

Ooh... character development. 52 was an especially good chapter.

    Kyougaku Koukou no Genjitsu

Honobe is a master-level troll. And one of my current favorite manga characters. Thanks for the chapter.

    Ueno-san wa Bukiyou

So jigospats... The "translation" notes say that it uses "jigowatts" which appears to be a botched pronunciation of "gigawatts," and there might be something to that, but is there an additional layered pun there? Something to do with hell? Anyway - another amusing chapter, and thanks again...

    Ueno-san wa Bukiyou

@BCS - yes, now that you mention it, it has to be a fantasy sequence. There's actually a descending series of frames right at the end of the last page, ending in the corner with an odd set of diagonal lines, then that whole sequence kicks off. I think that's supposed to be an indicator - sort...

    Ueno-san wa Bukiyou

Ueno-san with a horrified expression on her face as her newest invention makes her skirt flare out like an umbrella? Sure. Ueno-san walking through the rain, sharing an umbrella with Tanaka? That's sort of weird and unexpected.

    Danshi Toilet de Machiawase

This is the manga that first introduced me to Mizu Asato, and it's still my favorite of her one-shots. The brief description really doesn't do it justice. Granted it's an awkward setting, it's also a very charming story, and well worth reading.

    Ueno-san wa Bukiyou

Thanks for the chapter and keep 'em coming - the translation seems fine and the pages look great, and this series really deserves some attention.

    She Gets Girls Every Day.

They are so adorable. And on a non-fluffy note, I really love the things this mangaka does with screentones.
