Well, the Isekai genre suffers from several factors: 1. Escapism 2. Self-indulgence 3. Mass Sadly, the "experience an adventure" part has been overwritten by "take a vacation", which probably has something to do with the current Japanese Zeitgeist. It's pretty much wish-fulfillment of escaping...
