@Chiiyuu I’m fairly certain it’s related to nobility. In similar mangas having it long is necessary and short hair for nobility is unheard of and should she have short hair it would be frowned upon and be bad for her reputation, especially for her whose engaged to the crown prince.

@shinrakvsa I was thinking the same and it’s not the only Manhwa I’ve seen use US dollars either. I really wonder why, maybe a way to diversify it? Like it’s in Korean set in medieval European monarchy with US currency. I don’t know...

@permisan That might of been explained in the novel but glossed over here. Felt rushed when explaining the weird markings on their hand and obtaining abilities. Maybe he attempted to eat a monster trying to procure an alternate food supply.
