@Turkeyjerkey Honestly, the isekai genre and the related fantasy/kicked out of the hero's party genre aren't any more reductive or generic than most/any other genre out there. There's a ton of generic and bland romantic comedies out there. Ditto with fantasy, sci-fi, superhero stories...

Eh, I personally prefer this to Berserk. There's a lot I could say about that manga including my issues with its treatment of its female characters. But to each their own.

It's really interesting to read the early chapters in light of the more recent revelations. It puts a very different spin on the early interactions.

Cute and funny. It's a pretty average/representative work of the whole "reincarnated badass tries to be normal and fails" genre like https://mangadex.org/title/22190/didn-t-i-say-to-make-my-abilities-average-in-the-next-life. It's entertaining enough and pretty fun.

It's kind of interesting, but also kind of generic, a mess, and hard to follow. Characters and plot points just pop up without explanation and the combat can be hard to follow since some of the key points happen off-screen. All in all, a cute, if generic concept with pretty weak execution...

Have they just forgotten that there's a seventh person in their party?
