Okay, scratch my previous comment about how they never explained Rafaed, this tied up that loose end nicely.

This just made me realize I still don't understand Rafaed. I don't remember them ever saying he was an awakened hero like Helck before this, so does that mean he under the control of the will of the world as well? That would explain why he was working with them, I guess.

In case anyone thinks this post-apocalyptic twist came out of nowhere, it was foreshadowed WAY earlier. Back on the island after Vamirio and Helck got teleported, there were ruins of what was clearly an advanced civilization.

Finally a break after the pure darkness and suffering that was the last 20 chapters.

I just realized the beginning of this chapter says "chapter 4" in Japanese. That would explain why each chapter of this is so short. I wonder if these should be renumbered as "1.1", "1.2", etc, as some similar series are when chapters are released in parts.
