@Goldenzeal @Lord-Raine Right, there were a couple of things written into the novel obviously just to point out that skills aren’t the be all and end all - his failures at sewing (due to lacking basic knowledge) and singing (due to being tone deaf) that a maxed out skill does nothing to correct for.

@Stevie333 he is a civilian. He clearly has knowledge of gun handling and owns his own karambit but he isn’t military. He has spent time overseas and I don’t think what he did there has ever been elucidated, but a soldier he isn’t.
