Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? Daily Life of the Four Spider Sisters

@Xantse Well for one you're on the spin-off here which is 100% non-canon, second

    Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka?

@F-Radiation I don't know, mainly because the manga is based on the light novel which underwent a lot of structural changes compared to the web novel (the one on novel updates), meaning that some events changed place. Best I can give you is to start at chapter 135, which should be around when...

    Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka?

@F-Radiation The manga is currently at the beginning of Volume 5 of the LN, however it had to skip half the story (basically everything about the other characters) to do so. There's currently 10 LNs in English and soon 14 in Japanese, so the novels are easily 4-5 times ahead of the manga.

Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? - Vol. 10 Ch. 48.2

@Morpher7th She was always smaller than humans, but she does look smaller than usual this chapter. She's supposed to be around dog-size.

Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? - Vol. 10 Ch. 48.2

@DANDAN_THE_DANDAN Well technically the dungeon arc just finished, so now it's a new arc starting. But regardless I predicted the manga would have this kind of issue once she was out of the dungeon. Welp, back to reading the LNs for me.

Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? - Vol. 10 Ch. 48.2

@Liquidxlax no, she has zero problems eating the bandits since she's done that kind of thing before (remember that group of soldiers with a mage that burned her web? those that she killed she ate them, it's the law of the jungle in the Elroe Labyrinth after all). What is concerning her is the...

    Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka?

@NoBitt on the good side the LN author is working on the anime, plus with how slow the manga releases are, it wouldn't be surprising if, even after adding back all the parts of the story the manga removed, the anime goes further in the story than the manga.

Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? - Vol. 10 Ch. 48.2

@FudgePucker I mean yeah, the spider side has been pretty faithful minus a few details, but due to the missing chapters I can't really call it a great adaptation (not the mangaka's fault though, considering how slow the releases are we'd still be in volume 3 at this point if they did all the...

Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? - Vol. 10 Ch. 48.2

@staberas She's not supposed to be any smaller than before. If she looks smaller here it's most likely an error.

Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? - Vol. 10 Ch. 48.2

@kuroro86 I don't see the connection? This series is based on a novel series and with soon 14 volumes released there's easily enough material for 2 seasons of 24-26 episodes each already. The pacing of the manga has nothing to with that, it's because the actual author acknowledged that a 1:1...

    Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka?

@PortalSage The manga barely covers what's happening outside the dungeon, but the upcoming anime seems like it will feature the missing parts from the novel.

Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? - Vol. 10 Ch. 46.2

@Huichelaar As I said, the prologue is focused on developing how the system works (and also bring world-building via the other characters, which the manga omits almost entirely), and how dangerous someone can be once they're bloated with skills, which anyone can become (the Demon Lord is that...

Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? - Vol. 10 Ch. 46.2

@Huichelaar Except she worked to get those skills, she wasn't granted them from the start nor can she buy anything she wants whenever. Furthermore, those skills serve to show how the system works, which is important to see how it impacts people and foreshadows certain things about its true...

Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? - Vol. 10 Ch. 46.2

@chietcom It does make it better IMO. Sure, none is as charismatic and lovable as the protagonist, but those chapters make it crystal clear that this story is much more intricate than ''cute spooder fighting monsters'', and without them I feel like a lot of people are gonna be turned off by...

Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? - Vol. 10 Ch. 46.2

@musicfreak12 A conflict that can't be solved with brute strength, pitting multiple different parties against one another, including the other reincarnations. The story so far has literally been nothing but the prologue (no joke) and is skipping half of the content from the novels, which provide...

    Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka?

@CardiBSlays She's an extreme introvert. It's not that she doesn't care, she's just terrible at interacting with people. That and a life through the dungeon will twist your notions of what's acceptable and what's not, like it or not.

Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? - Vol. 9 Ch. 43.1

@conscript117 Technically it'd be somewhere around 150 or 180, but that's because the light novel/manga has changed several events in the story and their order (the ''her'' referred to at the end makes her first appearance later in the WN), so jumping from manga/LN to the WN isn't that smooth...

Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? - Vol. 9 Ch. 42.2

@nuuh5 You mean both the LN and the manga? You can do that, but due to the aforementioned missing content in the manga, the LN would be the better choice imo, especially if you plan to invest some money by buying the volumes. The manga is more of a supplement that can add to certain scenes by...
