@RWorld agreed. I don't know the circumstances in this particular case, but I've seen it happen with some other groups. There's usually some drama involved.
On first glance this seems like a do-over of Kyoukai's previous Shiyuu fight. I do hope there will be some new aspect to it, like Kyoukai not just being a Shiyuu, but also a commander with weight and comrades and stuff.
@Grave13 @Trex123 @Candymon @BasilD Darthskippy is not taking a break now. The "break" from translating was the Hime and Kokoro arc, because they don't talk, so there's nothing to translate.
@Darthskippy so basically Oscar just went on a rampage and started smashing things, and the first thing he hit (after the witch herself) just happened to be what defeated her. I can live with that. Maybe other protagonists should take that approach more often, instead of standing still letting...
How did Oscar know to break the mirror? Wouldn't it make more sense to go after the paintbrush? The witch was holding up the paintbrush and it had way more panel time. Even as a reader, I only saw the mirror when Flora was doing the self portrait and its significance was never made clear.
@Vileni150903 Interesting. I am not well versed in either Chinese or the three kingdoms, so I just took the term from the translation I read of that chapter.
No! Why send away your new army before the final battle? It's like in Lord of the Rings, when Aragorn releases the ghost army before the final battle at the gates; could have avoided a lot of casualties. At least they still have the one-man army that is Hime (Legolas).
(Reading on MangaDex, but...
@dive123 Mangaplus (by Shueisha, publisher of jump) doesn't post anything here themselves. It's users (or mods) of MangaDex, that link their releases here, and sometimes they are a bit late in doing so.
They keep taking about that magic cancelling eye, but it never did anything. Could he not have blocked rocklicker's magic? In general, the combo of magic cancellation and Mash beating the crap out of you should be pretty OP.
