I was interested in the process he used for making alcohol, so I looked it up... Apparently grapes typically have wild yeast on them, which can act as the starting agent. And fermented/alcoholic milk IS a real thing - look up "kumis" (or "kefir"). To make strong alcohol though, you need sugar...
