Personally liked the other version better, humans don't get killed anymore in this manga so the deaths of the mercenaries was actually meaningful. Also in the webcomic, only later do we learn Sweet Mask's reasoning which gives retroactive leeway for his actions, the more ruthless Sweet Mask...

While I generally like this story if I ignore the reincarnation, yeah I agree with @Doomer reincarnating tropes for female romance MC's are always poorly done because all that convenient knowledge goes out the window so they can be a damsel in distress.

It was really sweet to see that Gao Shun considers Jinshi to be one of his sons. I teared up a little that they care so much for each other.

Rereading the older chapters to relearn after the hiatus, but I think chapter 27 and chapter 28 are labeled as the same chapter number on Mangadex. I'm not sure if it's only for me or if this is a recent bug, but the order just gets a little messed up.
