The stuff with the casters and the summoned heroic spirit reporting back are nice additions. I don't remember if that stuff just happened offscreen in the game. I also don't remember Kotaro being so smug, but some of the characters have been kind of odd in an entertaining way.

This probably wasn't so much axed as that it ran about as long as it could since a manga promoting a LN generally doesn't run that long. It's a fun series. It's great to see a finished translation after all these years.
