I just finished watching the anime. Everyone seems different. Some of the personalities, art style, and all of the character designs are so different that if I didn't know any better id say this was a completely different series.
I like that we can all agree that the already deceased gramps, who we have no further knowledge about outside of a single panel with a picture of him, is the single coolest character in the Manga. That has to be some insane energy he's radiating.
So the PE teacher is now just a horror monster tamer. Every monster he interacts with, that doesn't die, just becomes a part of the growing cast. I love it. I was afraid that these would just be one-off characters.
Oh no! They turned Natsu, Tanjiro, and Goblin Slayer into weapons!
But seriously, Demons & Dragons I get. Those are like scary endgame monsters. But why goblins? Why not a giant slayer or something? At the very least I could've put Eren in my joke.
Coming back to these comments, it seems like y'all are dead set on him staying in the room and starving to death as a better option. Relying on "what if" scenarios about the water, and inspecting the clearly empty room for imaginary supplies that still wouldn't have helped him against OP...
Now that's Bravery. Not saving her from the monsters, no the fact that he prioritized the lives of the characters over tripping unfavorable flags. It shows he legitimately does care for these people, even though he sees them as cliche characters in a story.
