My boy still can't forgive himself for what he now sees as "weakness". Maria really broke him. You hate to see it, but it helps the story move up another gear. So from a storytelling standpoint, I love it.

Absolutely loved this chapter! From how it started all comedic to how things progressively got more and more serious until the chapter reached its climax. What an amazing payoff for the long-term storytelling on the author's part. I know a lot of people wish things move at a much faster pace...
