You mean the compresssed images, right? I remember the admins said they don't wanna make it default because they prioritize serving chapters in high quality. But I don't get why the setting doesn't stay on when logging in and out of different devices etc.

Probably because the host site doesn't allow "swear words" and the translators try to get around that. It sucks but as long as the translation itself isn't bad, you gotta get used to it

I don't read "teasing" manga but I like slow progress in romcoms. Also how would character development without story/plot progression even work?

Hamster (hamusutā) -> Hamuko. She's a hamster. I guess that's why she has a diamond shaped mouth. so that makes the pic with the hamster eating a banana even more appropriate here

It's a planned feature, but for now you can filter out colored and long strip in your settings if you don't mind missing out on manga that have those tags
