I wouldn't call this him playing coy so much as trying to play it normal like nothing happened for her sake. Which is already enough to drive her to distraction.
Agree with those who see this as a welcome change from the usual romcom path. Romance doesn't have to be a simple yes/no, and exploring the emotions of someone like Musubu for whom this is all new can be really interesting. Give us the story we need, not the story we want.
Can we take a moment to recognize the crazy night these two just had? Dude managed to parlay running into his crush working late into spending the entire night with her and confessing in the morning. It really is like that sometimes, and if lucky the story ends "...and that's how I met your mother."
@Melansjf Most definitely, but liking someone and being ready for a relationship are different things.
Who knows how they'll be once they're back at the office. Awkward, obviously, but having feelings in the open is an interesting place to be. Workplace flirtations can be quite delicious.
