@Notesha @KamiKira00 The exact word used in the raw was "kane" (money) rather than "kin" (gold) although they share the same kanji (金). I think it's more of a general rant and gold being the particular material of the currency (merchant actually says 3金貨 - 3 gold coins) is irrelevant.

@melbisbelbis I was thinking that was more non-Newtonian fluid, but I'm wondering if mud was one of them. I don't think surface tension alone can resist a punch, and if it would, then it would have resisted slowly pressing down into it too as far as I understand of it.
