So this just went from hanging on the edge between dark and cringe to turning in a fascinating direction. No apologies, no doubling down, but a new angle I did not see coming that adds more layers to the plot and characters. Bravo.

It's just melodrama. Maybe I'll come back when it's done, but for now I've seen soaps with better development.
