Yeah, well, unless there's actual evidence that the author is some kind of creep, like a criminal record or a statement from victims, and from the looks of it there don't seem to be, don't go jumping to wild conclusions like that.
Volume 1 has just been released digitally on Amazon by Seven Seas, with a paperback edition coming out at the end of the month. So if you want to support the series, feel free to buy it in whatever format you want. I just bought it digitally myself, since I have no more space on my shelves.
So yeah, the whole "Leslie being made to make childish mistakes for the sake of plot convenience" was actually planned from the start and was addressed here. Can we stop hating on Leslie for making a mistake that any kid her age would make now? Or blindly claiming the writers made the characters...
Hello anime fans! I didn't see a thread on this, so I decided to make one myself. Has anyone here seen any anime in the World Masterpiece Theater? It's basically a Japanese TV staple that showcased anime versions of various famous children's books from around the world, beginning from 1974 until...
While I agree that Leslie's sudden outburst is rather odd from a writing standpoint, I think all the angry comments about it are kind of overblown. Seriously, cool your tits, people. I've seen far worse plot conveniences than this, so Leslie's clinging to the idiot ball is small potatoes to me.
@Abedeus
There's also the fact that people with mental disabilities such as autism are still treated like burdens on Japanese society for not meeting their rigid, unrealistic standards. Most of the time, people don't believe anyone with a mental illness is actually ill, choosing to believe that...
Yay! Kotone finally apologized for being a bitch to Tetsu!
"I'm gonna resent you for the rest of my life! Just kidding!"
Really, Kotone? You're gonna undermine your apology with a mean-spirited joke like that? Come on!
I have to say, this series is really good at making use of its previous plot threads. The witnesses that were both explicitly named and subtly referenced in throwaway sentences, previous events, little details that most people would overlook upon the first reading...everything the comic has been...
Oh yes. I relate to this so much. Poor Aspe-chan was gaslighted here, with the teacher refusing to believe her and pretty much traumatized her for life. I don't have a lot of memories of this, but when I was younger, I was assigned one-to-one aids by my elementary school, but they were just...
@Hikarie I think it's just a translation error, as his name is Travis. But I don't think anyone cares about what he's called, since he's a dick of the highest order.
@syaochan She's 12.
Can I have permission to beat her father's face in? No wonder Megumi's so messed up. Her father can't even bother to understand her, makes her out to be some scheming manipulator out to ruin the family for shits and giggles, blames her for everybody's problems, is completely unsympathetic to...
Oooh, that explains it. Yeah, I kinda relate to Saitou on this one, especially with the page with her being surrounded by words and yelling. That's pretty much me in a nutshell. Granted, I've had a much easier life than she did, but that doesn't mean I never went through unpleasant things.
