Usually the hook would be showing the situation, and leaving the reader to figure out how they'll get out of it. This cuts off right before the situation is known. Odd choice. Not even sure if that makes it have more or less of an impact.

It lacks any sense of building anticipation. Seen a lot of comics lately that have better art than writing, but the gap between those in this case might be the widest yet.

This comic seems to have a conflict of tones. It wants to push a discussion about racism, but doesn't have the time to world build, so it isn't felt as much as it needs to be. The best scene that showed it, is the bank scene were the ajin were executed by the police. The other instances just...

What an odd comic. The art is far better then the writing.

Their webbing isn't so weak that the coins would be useful in any way. She has the ability to give traits like her fire resist to the webbing.

@HauntedPizza It's more about, I'm having trouble following between frames. A big bad showing up, and dicing people, I get. It's the flow of events that is really disjointed throwing me off. It'll likely make more sense when a chapter or two more is released.

@minmanga I'm thinking he did know, and knew how to resolve it. He's doing a sort of play on her. Quite the twisted personality he's got going on.

@ leeways Mana signature is used to track mages, so they know who they are fighting against. If they had it, then it'd be much harder for Tanya to make so many surprise attacks.

I love these pseudo-historical chapters. Well, I love all the types of chapters.

This is like the birth of Wraith in everyone's favorite magical spider girl, where he gets enslaved and forced to eat his sister. Always waiting for something to go sideways in this story and others like it. Doesn't seem like that will happen though.

Holding hands is lewd enough, but then holding hands with two different people. I'm gonna faint.
