Does this manga get better? Or at least a more enjoyable kind of stupid? Because this is a pretty bad chapter by the standards of any genre. How did an editor not say you can't just introduce a villain and reveal his really pathetic motivation, introduce an out of no where sword with some kind...
I am confused, horrified, dumbfounded, and honestly deeply happy it all worked out in the end... somehow. I guess that's this entire manga. It probably shouldn't work and might fall apart one day but for now I can't help but find it heartwarming.
This manga has been running for 15 years and we only have a tiny bit of it translated. New chapters are still being released in Japan. It's a real shame no one has picked up translating because it's a fun slice of life series.

It's a very cute mini chapter but now I have a ton of questions about Ichitaka like what was his club? Why did he become a loner? What cause him to lose all self esteem?
It's been a while since a trap tripped me up. Usually I see it coming a mile away. Also props for him manipulating Chiaki like that with skipping a beat.
