This is a rough chapter emotionally. There's heavy implications of suicide (on Natsu's part), so avoid it if you are sensitive to that.

It sounds like Ayane has a very weak immune system. It is kind of cruel to put it this way, but maybe Micchan is her backup plan. People with weak or suppressed immune systems won't necessarily die immediately or even before an old age. It depends entirely on luck and on exposure to sicknesses...

For reference for those not familiar with Celsius, the 36.5 shown on the thermometer at the end of the chapter is a completely normal body temperature. The panel is telling the reader that Ayane recovered from her high fever and is back to a normal range.
