There are two possibilities. In Korea, dodging draft is basically social and career suicide if found out. So either:
1. He's making sure to serve so that nobody digs dirt on him in future and uses that fact to end his career.
or
2. It makes no sense, but author is making sure his...
That's how unfair life is. In countries like Korea, men lose year (or two, or more) of their life in mandatory service, robbed of time they could use to work or study, while women do whatever as they're not obliged to serve.
Those are some dumb rules you guys have when it comes to uploading chapters. Not like the petty translation groups that want people to read on their ad infested garbage websites own the comic in question or something.
His actions make sense. Empire that Alan is from seems to highly value human life and their military policy probably has protocols requiring him to help good humans and not exploit them.

Guess in this game, it does. From real games, there's Guild Wars 2 where you also get XP from crafting items.
Cool. I think there's a chance "Named NPCs" are game devs/company employees roleplaying, they act too realistic for NPCs, but then again this world has deep dive VRMMO so that might not be the case.

He might've lost 2.5 million dollars, but come on, he's far from being "poor" now, and if he's worried about financial situation, he should get a real job too. But I guess author has different plans.
