It's interesting, I grant you, but I'm getting a serious "this is the sci-fi space future so I'm just going to draw whatever looks neat and make up explanations at random which may even contradict each other" vibe.

Wouldn't it be funny if it turned out that this series is actually the sequel to KM/KY, and the disaster in the other series happened so long in the past that the world has "healed" into the one the characters are living in?

At this point, I'm starting to doubt that there ever will be a plot. Every time it looks like the author is building up to it, they back right down and the next chapter has everything reset like in Urusei Yatsura (how many times did the Moroboshi house get destroyed in the anime?).

This was really good--she wasn't pretending to be a better person than she is, which is always weird, and the story was creepy and interesting!

Yeah, that was sad. (Although there were at least 4 immortal/semi-immortal characters in the original, including Telomera (that robot), so he may run into some more people he knows.)

Tsk. She's mellowed way the heck out. If this had been the first volume, the magic would have killed the other team and then backfired and killed "her" team, too, and she would have walked away from the horrified stadium laughing out loud.
