Yeah, for those not willing to wait, the Kodansha digital edition has been available for some time now. I bought it and boy that "true ending" wasn't in the raws at all. Very satisfying conclusion to the story. I got the same warm and fuzzy feeling like I did when I finished HaiPoji.

I really like the style of this author and the way she puts her own spin on existing horror tropes like the Chtulhu mythos, werewolves, death cults, the superhuman serial killers etc. Looking forward to the ending of this underrated gem. Also

The ending made me feel depressed but then again everything by Oshimi-sensei is like this. Still would rate it 8.5/10. Oh and f MS.

So the mask increases strength to the point of also increasing your body size and works especially well with vampires, I'm guessing this is more than a bit inspired by the Stone Mask lol
