This chapter hits like a brick. Every now and then I catch myself thinking about it, even years after I've read it. It was one of the two times I cried reading a manga, the other being Ashita no Joe's ending.

This chapter is textbook sports manga lol. The tone shift after the original author left is quite extreme, and IMO made the manga much better. This is... i dunno, kinda generic. Doesn't look like the kinda stuff you'd expect to leave a mark on you.
