@SHTJ Because she's not actually calling them girlfriends. Read the translation notes. The girl is calling her something like sexy woman, but the translator insists on saying girlfriend instead even though it's the entirely wrong connotation.

@cpapaul - MC wasn't even sure he wanted the territory until he looked at it with his appraisal skill. He probably expected to just look at it and leave.

@dextersTomato I'm pretty sure Jairo tossed the mage girl in the direction of the MC to summon him, meaning it was planned out out and not just random luck.
