@Dmi I wouldn't say she's yandere, she just has typical teenage girl insecurities. If 5-10 years pass and she hasn't grown out of them, *then* I'd say she's yandere.

@pipopo I would put Yamada's jealous/possessive side in the realm of behavior that would be a red flag if an adult did it but is probably fairly normal for a middle schooler.

@Psychronia Chapter 19 (when Ichikawa and Yamada bump into each other at McDonalds) is her first proper appearance, but she also pops up for a panel in extra chapter 17.3 when he's recalling what she said about blood types.

@Dmi I feel like the straight shota energy the two of them give off is mostly just because of the lens the readers view them through- I doubt any adult in the "real world" of the manga sees the two of them as more than a year or two apart.

@openeeyes I read that expression as more expectant- she's hoping that Ichikawa will say something that makes her feel better, a test he passes with flying colors. Mostly because of the framing- if she was reacting to what he said in that panel I feel like she'd be to the left of the speech...

In the parallel universe version of this manga where we're inside Yamada's head instead of Ichikawa's she was definitely in the middle of a "wait shit why am I getting feelings when I look at him" epiphany scene that was comically cut short by getting hit in the face with a basketball.
